• Majority of luxury watches are mechanical or automatic and you can only find a very few quartz operated luxury watches.
• Luxury watches need regular service (at least one in five years) to keep it in good condition.
• Some watches have a waiting period when you buy. For example, The cost of Rolex GMT Master 2 in watch boutiques is around 6 lacs which comes with a waiting period up to 5 years. But you can buy the same watch in different stores by paying around 12-15 lacs upfront and get the watch immediately.
• Even if you buy a first copy of a luxury watch, it can be easily identified by people who are used to wearing premium watches. Besides this, you would also not get the feel of wearing a genuine watch.
• The price of some luxury watches increase with time as you keep it for long. However, keep in mind that this is not the case always.
